• I first developed a love of NZ in 2011 when I came to the country for the wedding of two close friends.

I developed an interest in real estate, and from my apartment in Singapore, I would regularly thumb through internet property pages.

One day in 2012, Parihoa came up in my web browser, and I became transfixed.

I flew to NZ for one night in August 2012 and met the then-Custodians, who had owned Parihoa for 15 years and were selling.

I bought the property and went through a long overseas investment process via the NZ Government to purchase Parihoa.

On 1 August 2013, I became the Custodian of Parihoa, and the beginning of my "Life 2" journey began.

As a city slicker from Singapore, I began a long journey to get my mind around Parihoa, and that journey still continues today.

  • From 2013 until the present, Parihoa has represented a way to earth my ethereal business career, which has mainly been spent in a global, remote-first way.

From 2013 to 2017, I enjoyed coming to Parihoa in my breaks from Singapore and from traveling the world for business. I would often bring friends to get downtime.

I developed a connection with the Iwi, my neighbors, the local Muriwai community, and built a large network of NZ-based friends connected through Parihoa.

From 2018 to 2022, with the help of Rose, Graeme, and PK—my adopted NZ “family”—we developed a strategy to enhance Parihoa, adding:

    • the Jewel Box

    • the Gallery

    • the Wellbeing Box

    • the Pods

    • the Farmhouse

    • upgrading the House of Parihoa

    • buying our neighbors' farm, Tirikohua Point

All along, during my Custodianship, it has been lovingly farmed as a sheep and cattle farm by Ben, with a continued eye on managing weeds and predators.

Our property is now managed by Jo, and the plant and vegetable gardens are lovingly maintained by another Ben.

Many of the local Muriwai community have worked on Parihoa as a supplier of some form.

Parihoa well and truly lives up to its name of "the friendly cliffs."

  • I made the decision in 2023 to simplify my life to just one signature property, Edge of the World, in the south of NZ.

I have embarked on a two-year process via Sotheby's and then Bayleys to find the next Custodian.

As a multi-dimensional property and platform, we have so far not found the next Custodian.

We continue that search, but since I launched MC² on 17 July 2025, I decided to name the NZ chapter the Parihoa Network.

It’s possible the journey of Parihoa under my Custodianship will continue into the future.

Either a Custodian will eventually be found, or I will take an investment interest in Parihoa and the Parihoa Network and share it with a Partner.

    Know someone? Get in touch!

Parihoa will be used as a lodge and retreat space, connecting MC² with the Parihoa Network.

While we have had films, events, and celebrities visit Parihoa, going forward, Parihoa will be exclusively used by and as a showcase of the Network.

  • Parihoa is crowned by the out-of-this-world House of Parihoa, designed by acclaimed Kiwi architect Andrew Patterson in 2002 and completed in 2008 for the former Custodians.

The House of Parihoa has been widely featured in global ad campaigns for brands including Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Apple, Fitbit, Cartier, and many more.

Widely featured in global design magazines, the House of Parihoa is in a top league of NZ and global architecture due to its stunning location and paradoxical luxury-meets-farmhouse orientation.

Under my Custodianship, the House of Parihoa was extended to include the Jewel Box, an incredible “floating” space with amazing views across the ocean and farm.

Sometimes described as a potential "Essalen of the south," Parihoa has beds across various structures for around 30 people.

Concept plans have been drawn up by global architects Fearon & Hay for two more signature houses rivaling the House of Parihoa, on two consented house sites.

A well-being concept I called “the Game” has also been designed by Andrew Paterson to be created across the farm, including 15 luxury pods and a flying saucer-like structure called “2050.”

Parihoa is in excess of 700 acres, including 4km of frontage on high cliffs to the ocean and is held across a number of titles.

Situated on the highest classification of sensitive land in NZ, “Outstanding Natural Beauty,” it also contains much iwi history and is a special property considered significant to the Greater Auckland area and NZ.

  • I long saw the potential to hub a Network around Parihoa, my property that brought me to NZ.

As I began to develop the concept of a global network, I first thought of calling that the Parihoa Network.

Then it became clear to me I would use MC².

However, since Parihoa is still very much part of my life, I have decided it will be the name of the NZ chapter of MC².

The Parihoa Network will be capped at 10,000 people who fit the values of this virtual network earthed by a physical place.

  • Parihoa derives its name from the local Iwi, who named the area after "the friendly cliffs" that tower over the raging seas below.

The values of Parihoa, and as such the Network, include:

    • Friendly: We are inclusive, welcoming, and positive.

    • Multi-generational: We respect all walks of life and ages.

    • Well-being-focused: We believe in well-being-centricity of thinking and actions.

    • Proudly NZ: We respect our Iwi past and current NZ culture and norms.

    • Inspiring: The majestic scenery combined with incredible architecture inspires.

    • Interconnected: We recognize the interdependence of members and goals.

Parihoa and the Parihoa Network connect with the global MC² Network by being the global showcase and “well-being” lab of the concept.

  • Parihoa will be the lodge of MC², which will allow members of the Network to apply and visit Parihoa.

The focus of the experience at Parihoa will be embodying the Parihoa Life, an existence of well-being.

Parihoa will connect members of the Network from all corners of the globe, ages, professions, and walks of life.

Using the House of Parihoa, our Pods, our Farmhouse, our Well-being-Pavilion, our Cottage, with our central spaces of The Gallery, Well-being Box, and Jewel Box, plus more than 700 acres of seaside farm, our Lodge takes shape.

Everyone at the lodge will use their skills to help enrich the experience of others. I will play host when I am there, and when I am not, you will be looked after by my team.

Nutrient-dense food, well-being activities, and peaceful regeneration optimizing your time at Parihoa will ensure you have that same inflection point I did when I came to Parihoa and return to the world rested.

  • From 20 to 24 November, my friend Begum and I will co-host the first Parihoa Well-being Retreat for MC².

Over five days and four nights, around 10 people will join us in New Zealand to experience the full beauty of Parihoa and an amazing well-being curriculum.

This retreat will only be open to members of MC², and an application process will be mandatory so we can get the best fit.

We will keep details of the retreat under wraps until we officially launch this concept, but we want to make this a premier NZ well-being experience and incorporate the true values of Parihoa.
