More on the Parihoa Network and how it will form

The Parihoa Network is the New Zealand chapter of MC², a global well-being talent collective. The Network is centred around my property, Parihoa, which translates to “the friendly cliffs.”

No Fee for the Network

There is no fee associated with membership in the Parihoa Network. It is based on the concept of “good energy,” and while the primary objective is to establish a robust business model around Parihoa, membership is not contingent upon physical presence at the location.

The Role of Parihoa as a Hub

Parihoa serves as a hub for the Network, providing a space for identity formation, accommodation, retreats, a monthly remote work day for interested individuals, and a platform to showcase ingenuity, products, and talent (utilising the Jewel Box or designated spaces).

A Hub for Presence and Regeneration

Over time, Parihoa will increasingly become a hub for presence, where the Network can engage in relaxation, collaboration, and rejuvenation. This will primarily be achieved through the lodge concept, retreats, and monthly workdays from Parihoa.

All members of the Parihoa Network, akin to MC², possess exceptional talent. Each individual possesses both a business persona and a personal identity. The harmonious integration of these personas represents the holistic human experience, which is what Parihoa embraces. We eagerly anticipate showcasing the talent and ingenuity of our members through various concepts and exhibitions.

It respects the land and history of Parihoa, recognising it as a serene environment conducive to regeneration and introspection. Given that the entire Network is predicated on the positive energy emanating from Parihoa, these principles are seamlessly integrated into the virtual nature of the network.

For an extended period, I have contemplated the potential of merging the interests of individuals who are passionate about Parihoa and well-being. This fertile ground for talent development—building a network of unique New Zealanders and foreigners connected to Parihoa and exploring their skills further—represents the vision of the Parihoa Network.

The Connection between MC² and the Parihoa Network

MC² is a global well-being talent network that complements the Parihoa Network. Originating from New Zealand, MC² also encompasses individuals who have been part of my life and those who have expressed interest in my life. Parihoa adds a distinctly New Zealand flavour to this network. Additionally, the Edge of the World Collective in the South Island is being established to create a unique sub-section of the New Zealand chapter dedicated to the South Island, which is my home.

The Parihoa Network aspires to grow as an energy that supports individuals’ life journeys, particularly their careers. During my tenure overseeing a large global network of HR leaders, I gained valuable insights into the fact that talent management transcends current employers, companies, family, and friends. In a broader sense, it represents our unique path forward in balancing work and life goals, adopting a life 2 perspective.

Matt Chapman

Matt is an accomplished entrepreneur, investor, and HR futurist who has successfully transitioned from building a global HR search firm to focusing on well-being. He co-founded ChapmanCG, one of the world's most reputable HR search companies, which was acquired in 2022. Now, he is the creator of MC² Search, a well-being search company focused on developing a global talent pool of Chief Wellbeing Officers (CWOs), a role he believes will be part of the C-suite in future organizations. Matt’s passion for well-being extends beyond business; he was one of the creators of Bawah Reserve, an acclaimed wellness resort, and has completed six 250km ultra-marathons. He believes in using modern technology to empower talent and new-age business possibilities through remote working, a philosophy he has practiced since 2008.
