The Kiwi Blueprint: Building a Borderless Business for 2025 and Beyond

When I established ChapmanCG in 2008, it was unprecedented for a search company to originate from Asia and compete with global firms, as headquarters were typically based in conventional centres like Europe or North America.

Fast forward to 2025, and Asia has become a formidable force. Over the past 17 years, ChapmanCG has witnessed significant global transformations. Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and numerous other developing markets worldwide now boast their own global companies.

Today, in 2025, technological advancements, satellite broadband coverage, and a perspective of the world as a virtually unified entity have made it possible to seamlessly create a global concept from New Zealand. For me, this move is not only driven by the pursuit of a lifestyle that enhances my well-being and happiness, but it also aligns with my belief that New Zealand is the ideal location.

New Zealand possesses a globally recognised brand, and its geographical isolation makes it an attractive destination for travellers worldwide.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when Singapore and the world were closed, my decision to base my new venture in New Zealand was reinforced. After two years of no global travel and the sale of ChapmanCG in March 2022, the world’s reopening felt like a synchronous moment to take a break. The past three years have been dedicated to two primary areas: my well-being and the development of my new concept.

This break has reaffirmed my enduring appreciation for the simple life: exploring New Zealand in my van, traversing its extensive hiking trails, and camping in world-class locations. Consequently, I aspire to establish New Zealand as the headquarters for my well-being initiatives, drawing individuals from around the globe. Furthermore, I am prioritising the maintenance of a strong local network that spans the North and South Islands of New Zealand.
