My Dream for the Parihoa and MC² Networks
I want to share my vision for the Parihoa network and, indeed, the global MC² network. It’s a dream of how we can manage our profiles in a way that is more authentic, holistic, and genuinely connective.
My desire is to see this network grow into a private technology platform that connects everyone not just on their work skills, but on their life skills and personal interests too.
More Than a Profile: A Constellation of Passions
The dream for this platform is for a person to be able to essentially ‘hashtag’ themselves around their key passions and interests. These aren't static labels; they are designed to evolve over time. As you grow and change, so can your profile. Other people in the network might even suggest aspects of yourself that you hadn't considered, adding new dimensions to how you see and present yourself.
These hashtags are the key. They will connect you to others who share those same tags, organically forming communities and allowing coaches with expertise in those skills and areas to converge. This is how the network starts to interact and become ‘sticky’.
A sticky network is an engaged network. It’s a place where things are happening, where energy is flowing. My goal is for this platform to grow as a positive force behind everyone’s lives, amplifying what they already do by fostering powerful connections within a collective.
Quality Over Quantity: Our Growth Strategy
We are starting small with a proof of concept through Parihoa, the New Zealand network, which can be conceptualised to around 10,000 people. I’ve chosen that number deliberately. The global equivalent is the MC² network, which has the potential to host a million people, with each country perhaps having its own Parihoa-equivalent community.
While these are great numbers to aim for, my dream for these networks has always been about quality, not quantity.
To maintain this quality, the networks will be infused annually. Some people will naturally drop out, and new people will come in. This ensures the communities don’t become stagnant, which is precisely why I want to cap the numbers.
A Network Built on Good Energy
There is a lot of work to be done to make this a reality, and the truth is, anyone in the world could build something similar. This is simply my vision for a network of networks, built on a simple principle: good people know good people.
If you take the approach that good energy leads to good energy, then the growth model becomes clear. The network will operate on invitation and acceptance. People who are suggested by existing members—those original people with good energy—will be welcomed in.
This approach will allow us to get the proof of concept working well and naturally, without the pressure of being overwhelmed.
That’s the idea. I look forward to the next steps.
